about
"The Waters that I Know" is a three-part track that concerns the formative steps of the path of initiation.
lyrics
I.
I behold the substrate,
beneath the cleansing light.
Maw that consumes me,
birth of day and night.
Mankind's creation,
is not of his desire.
Concepts are warfare,
against primordial waters.
I seek that force which,
flows in all that is.
Grandest contortion,
first and final light.
Soul of the cosmos,
call to me now.
For he who knows the firmament,
controls the beast itself.
My silver eyes,
burning ever more.
Source of Empyrean,
the waters that I know.
II.
Roll in the shores,
learn that time scorns.
Breathe in the moon,
curse at the sun.
We walk beyond the coast,
into the deep - the abyss.
We crawl within chaos,
as we sleep - charybdis.
III.
Long have I traversed this path,
too long I indulged in my woes.
I hail to the great morning star,
and witness its glory unfold.
From the depths I have once more emerged,
beholding horizons untold.
Creation shall kneel to my words,
I permute the cosmos alone.
Cross the final gate,
as the universe pours down.
Force and will upsurge,
ascending through the all.
Raise up your hands,
grasp the fabric of chaos.
The canvas is life itself,
wanderer, become what you are.
